Often the funniest moments happen without being planned – and being lucky enough to have a camcorder on the scene is pretty unlikely. What IS likely is that you’ll have your cellphone with you, and if it’s got video capabilities – which a lot of phones do these days – you can whip it out and record the moment. Sorted…
But not completely. Not much point in having a killer video and not being able to quickly and easily show all your friends! It’s expensive and a hassle to send an MMS message to all 184 of your buddies who you think would appreciate the video. With MyVideo, you can show them all, for the price of a single MMS. When you sign up at MyVideo you’ll be assigned a unique email address to which you can MMS your videos. Then all you need do is tell your friends to check out the video on MyVideo. You can even set up a list of email addresses and MyVideo will send a notification message to all these addresses whenever you upload a video from your phone!
To make changes to your MMS upload settings, login to MyVideo and then click on My Account. One of the options boxes will be ‘My Mobile Settings (MMS)’, which looks like this:
Clicking on My Mobile Profile will display your unique upload email address and let you change options like the default title and description given to videos you upload, the privacy setting, which category you’d like the video to appear in, and who you’d like to share the video with (as mentioned earlier, MyVideo can send an email notification to a list of email addresses specified by you, if you wish).
Clicking on General Help will answer the following questions: What is MMS Video? How do I setup my MMS account? How do I setup and activate MMS on my cellphone? How do I access my personal MyVideo MMS address? What do I do if I get an error when I MMS my video to my address?
Clicking on Help setting it up on your mobile phone will provide you with detailed information for how to set up MMS on your phone no matter which cellphone provider you have an account with.
Consult your cellphone manual or search the internet for exact information on how to add video to an MMS message on your particular phone.
