Hornets are the major enemy of the Japanese honey bees. As few as 30 hornets can destroy a colony of 30 000 bees. But the honey bees have one of the most incredible defensive weapons in nature. Hornets will die at temperatures over 46 degrees C, and the bees can withstand up to 50. So they cover the hornets on mass and vibrate until their enemy is cooked alive! Footage from National Geographic.
